Micah Stoutimore

Microsystems Technology Office

Micah Stoutimore, Ph.D., is the managing director of the Quantum Benchmarking Initiative. He joined DARPA in May 2024 as a deputy program manager in the Microsystems Technology Office (MTO).

His research interests include quantum and quantum-inspired technologies, novel computing technologies, superconducting systems, and cryogenic technologies.

Prior to joining DARPA as a deputy program manager, Stoutimore operated a small business through which he provided scientific and technical consulting services for DARPA. Before his consulting work, he worked at Northrop Grumman, where he advanced from a laboratory scientist testing novel superconducting digital circuits to a senior scientist overseeing a multi-year superconducting digital logic program.
