Abhishek Singharoy
Program Manager
Biological Technologies Office
Dr. Abhishek Singharoy joined DARPA in January 2024 as a program manager in the Biological Technologies Office.
His research interests include statistical mechanics, molecular biology, hybrid modeling, and large-scale computer simulations.
Before joining DARPA, Singharoy was an associated professor in the School of Molecular Sciences at Arizona State University, where his lab combined statistical mechanical methods with computational approaches to model cell-scale biological responses. He also served as an affiliate assistant professor at Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College and is affiliated with the Mayo Clinic of Arizona.
Singharoy holds a Ph.D. in theoretical chemistry from Indiana University Bloomington, a master's in physical chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, and a bachelor's in chemistry from St. Xavier’s College, University of Calcutta.
He completed a postdoctoral fellowship in biophysics at the Beckman Institute, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and has published over 60 peer-reviewed articles. He has mentored more than 20 students and received multiple honors, including the NSF Alan T. Waterman Award.
