The Microsystems Technology Office is holding a Proposers Day to provide information to potential proposers on the objectives of the Wideband Adaptive RF Protection (WARP) program in anticipation of a planned Broad Agency Announcement. The Wideband Adaptive RF Protection (WARP) program seeks to develop wideband, adaptive filters and analog signal cancellers that selectively attenuate interference from the environment or from the transmitter. When exposed to interference, jamming, or transmitter signal leakage, WARP signal filters and cancellers will sense and adapt to the electromagnetic environment through the intelligent control of adaptive hardware.
Under the WARP program, technical advancements are expected in three areas: 1) wideband tunable filtering with both center frequency and bandwidth tuning to provide full-band coverage; 2) wideband analog signal cancellation with sufficient analog cancellation to enable wideband same-frequency STAR over a large delay spread leakage channel; and 3) embedded interference sensing and control of the electromagnetic environment or leakage path for autonomous closed-loop adaptation of the filtering and signal cancellation.
