Dave Burke

Program Manager

Strategic Technology Office

Dave Burke, Ph.D., joined DARPA in January 2026 as a program manager in the Strategic Technology Office.

His research interests include advanced space systems and adaptive airpower, with a focus on manufacturability, flexibility and autonomy to enable employment at scale.

Prior to DARPA, Burke worked as a Chief Architect with an office in the Department of the Air Force, advising and designing technical solutions to some of some of the Nation’s most urgent problems. He has also previously served as co-leader of the Airborne Radar Systems and Techniques group at MIT Lincoln Laboratory, where he focused on machine learning approaches for target recognition and signal processing in radar imaging and other applications.
