Dr. Christine Sanders joined DARPA in November 2024 as a program manager in the Tactical Technology Office.
Areas of expertise include maritime sensing, environmental degradation, and nonconventional warfare. She is interested in developing capabilities below, at, and above the ocean’s surface utilizing chemical sensing and control in dynamic environments.
Prior to joining DARPA, Sanders was a research chemist in the corrosion branch at the Naval Research Laboratory and a program officer in the sea weapons and warfare department at the Office of Naval Research (ONR). Her portfolio at ONR focused on new programs in chemical physics to deepen the understanding of the interactions between Naval systems and the chemicals that surround them.
Sanders holds a Doctor of Philosophy in physical chemistry from the Ohio State University and a Bachelor of Science in chemistry from the University of Cincinnati.
