Program Manager
Strategic Technology Office
Stefano Galli, Ph.D., joined DARPA in May 2024 as a program manager in the Strategic Technology Office. His research interests include advanced wideband hybrid optical-wireless architectures for achieving unprecedented spectrum agility and jamming mitigation capability, and deep space communications.
Prior to DARPA, Galli was a chief scientist and senior manager heading the wireless and optical department at Peraton Labs, where he worked on positioning, integrated sensing and comms, aeronautical telemetry, 5G, spectrum sharing, high beam-bandwidth product systems, initial link establishment procedures, and microwave photonics.
He is an IEEE Fellow for contributions to theory, practice, and standardization of power line communications networks.
