Daniel Ridge

Mr. Daniel Ridge joined DARPA in August 2022 as a program manager in the Microsystems Technology Office (MTO). His research interests include high-performance computing, vulnerability assessment, media forensics, and the design and lifecycle of embedded systems.
Prior to joining DARPA, Ridge was a research staff member at the Center for Computing Sciences (CCS), operated by the Institute for Defense Analyses, for more than 20 years. At CCS, he was engaged in multi-disciplinary research in support of the National Security Agency. Ridge previously worked for NASA and as a founder and consultant in private industry.
Ridge served as a founding participant of the FBI Scientific Working Group on Digital Evidence; managed joint software releases with NASA and RedHat; and worked to create the Cinquecento programming language for program analysis. He attended the University of Maryland at College Park and worked as an undergraduate research assistant for the Department of Computer Science and the Institute for Systems Research.
