Mr. Daniel R. Kerr joined DARPA’s Information Innovation Office (I2O) as a program manager in June 2022. His research interests focus on cybersecurity operations.

Prior to his position at DARPA, Kerr was a chief scientist and technical director at Peraton Labs, where he created and led a variety of advanced research and development, and operational programs in cyber autonomy, artificial intelligence planning, multidomain operations, probabilistic modeling of intelligence, privacy architectures, and capability development. Before joining Peraton Labs, Kerr worked at Raytheon BBN Technologies and Lockheed Martin, where he developed and led efforts in binary analysis, autonomous network understanding, operation test and evaluation, multidomain intelligence strategies, and advanced technology insertion.

Kerr holds a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in computer science from Texas Tech University, and is all but dissertation on a Doctorate of Philosophy in computer science from The Catholic University of America. Kerr’s master’s work focused on secure exertion-oriented space computing in distributed and parallel computing. Kerr’s doctoral work focused on source localization of attacks within distributed and heterogenous cloud environments.
