Dr. Allyson O’Brien joined DARPA in January 2022 to develop, execute, and transition programs in quantum information and cybersecurity.
O’Brien joined DARPA from Leidos where she focused on cybertechnology and quantum-augmented security in networks and point-to-point communications. Before Leidos, O’Brien was with BAE Systems where she focused on quantum communications and various cybertechnology projects.
O’Brien holds a doctorate and Master of Science degrees in physics from Drexel University, and a Bachelor of Science in physics and energy science from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. In addition, she is a commercial helicopter pilot and flight instructor.
