Physical Systems

Our interest in physical systems ranges from exploring the nature of atoms, molecules, and materials to demonstrating devices and applications that enable new classes of national security capabilities, such as precision timing, rapid manufacturing, and defense against mass terror threats. Of particular interest are new approaches to accelerating the development, production, and adoption of new molecules and materials, as well as pushing the fundamental limits of our ability to sense and manipulate both light and matter.
