All research selected for funding involving human subjects, to include use of human biological specimens and human data, must comply with the federal regulations for human subjects protection.

DARPA pursues opportunities for transformational change rather than incremental advances. It does so collaboratively as part of a robust innovation ecosystem that includes academic, corporate, and governmental partners.

This opportunity has the potential to result in one or more of several different award instruments, including FAR-based procurement contracts, grants, cooperative agreements, or Other Transactions.
