The Tactical Technology Office is holding a Proposers Day meeting to provide information to potential proposers on the objectives of the new Control of Revolutionary Aircraft with Novel Effecters (CRANE) program and to facilitate teaming. The goal of CRANE is to design, build, and flight-test a new and novel aircraft that incorporates Active Flow Control (AFC) technologies as a primary design consideration. By optimizing an aircraft for AFC from a clean sheet approach, CRANE aims to mature and demonstrate new trade spaces for future aircraft designs.
