At the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, California, on May 22, 2017, DARPA will host an Information and Teaming Workshop in support of the DARPA Software-Defined Radio (SDR) Bay Area Hackfest. The objective of the Bay Area Hackfest--which will be held November 13-17 at NASA Ames, Moffet Field, California—is to engage and enable a community of interested engineers and scientists working towards the future confluence of radio and information technology.

On May 19, 2018, DARPA is taking part in Military Invention Day at the Smithsonian National Museum of American History, an event produced by the Lemelson Center for the Study of Invention and Innovation. The event will showcase examples of today’s leading-edge military inventions alongside historical technologies from the Museum’s collections, offer attendees the chance to meet scientists and engineers, and provide hands-on invention challenges.

DARPA's Defense Sciences Office is sponsoring a Proposers Day to provide information to potential proposers on the objectives of an anticipated Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) for the Next Generation Social Science (NGS2) program.
