DARPA’s Strategic Technology Office (STO) aims to provide the U.S. military lethality using a strategy called Mosaic Warfare: fast, scalable, adaptive joint multi-domain lethality. STO’s areas of interest include: Mosaic Technologies, Mosaic Effect Web Services (EWS), Mosaic Experimentation, and Foundational Strategic Technologies and Systems.

The event aims to facilitate technical discussion between STO PMs and attendees that explore innovative and revolutionary ideas for addressing national security challenges.

DARPA’s Strategic Technology Office (STO) this week unveiled its updated approach to winning or deterring future conflicts during Sync with STO Day, held in Arlington, Virginia. At the event—which attracted about 300 innovators and entrepreneurs, more than half of whom had never worked with DARPA before—STO program managers outlined new areas of interest and held discussions with attendees to explore innovative technology solutions for strategic national security challenges.

DARPA’s Near Zero Power RF and Sensor Operations (N-ZERO) program revolutionized sensing for untethered, unattended systems. The goal of N-ZERO was to develop the technological foundations for persistent, event-driven sensing capabilities in which the sensor can remain dormant, with near-zero power consumption, until awakened by an external trigger or stimulus. To compliment these technological breakthroughs in persistent sensing, the program produced an ultra-low power ARM processor called M0N0. During this virtual workshop hosted by ARM, attendees will have an opportunity to learn about using, modifying, and licensing M0N0.
