Division Chief: U.S. Navy & STRATCOM
Commander James “Sleestak” Reeve is the Division Chief for the U.S. Navy and STRATCOM in the Adaptive Execution Office. In this capacity, CDR Reeve works with DARPA and the Services to evaluate transition paths for DARPA technologies while identifying capability gaps related to specific technology/research and development objectives. He also manages and tracks DARPA technological efforts of interest to DoD users across the Naval (Air/Space/Cyber) and STRATCOM mission sets. As DARPA’s co-lead for the Technology Development Working Group, he works to ensure synergy between DARPA, U.S. Air Force, and U.S. Navy special access programs. Additionally, CDR Reeve manages DARPA's Service Chiefs Fellows Program.

Captain Daniel Brunk joined DARPA as the U.S. Navy operational liaison in 2017. He previously served on the staff of the Chief of Naval Operations in the Operations and Plans Division as the Ocean Systems and Nuclear Matters branch head.

Dr. Alexander Walan joined DARPA in September 2017 as a program manager in the Tactical Technology Office. His current focus areas include technology development and demonstration of advanced aircraft technologies with particular focus on rapid design, prototyping, and flight demonstration.

Dr. Kurt Vogel joined DARPA’s Tactical Technology Office as a program manager in October 2017, after having served over two years in the Agency’s Strategic Technology Office (STO). His areas of interest include air systems, electronic warfare, stealth, space systems, and counter-space.

Dr. Peter Erbland joined DARPA as a program manager in February 2013. Currently, he focuses on advanced hypersonic systems and technologies including hypersonic aerodynamics and aerothermodynamics, structures and materials, and guidance, navigation and control, as well as basic and applied research in fluid mechanics, laser-based optical diagnostic techniques and numerical modeling.
