Lt. Col. Joshua Stults became a program manager in the Tactical Technology Office in April 2018 after serving as a deputy program manager in the agency. His expertise includes high-speed flight, munitions, and novel propulsion technologies, with a focus on hypersonics.
Prior to joining DARPA, Stults was a program manager at Eglin Air Force Base, where he led a team that planned weapon acquisition programs. He previously served as a legislative liaison for the commander of Air Force Materiel Command. Prior to that, he led payload development efforts and launch integration for the Hypersonic International Flight Research and Experimentation (HIFiRE) program. He also led planning for munitions live-fire test and evaluation campaigns, and served as a test conductor for munitions flight tests.
Stults earned his Doctor of Philosophy and Master of Science, both in aeronautical engineering, from the Air Force Institute of Technology. He received his Bachelor of Science in aeronautical engineering from the U.S. Air Force Academy.
