Dr. Kurt Vogel joined DARPA’s Tactical Technology Office as a program manager in October 2017, after having served over two years in the Agency’s Strategic Technology Office (STO). His areas of interest include air systems, electronic warfare, stealth, space systems, and counter-space.
Prior to joining DARPA, Dr. Vogel served in the U.S. Air Force as a program manager, Air Force red team chief, flight-test engineer, science and technology researcher, spacecraft systems analyst, and orbital analyst. He comes to DARPA with 26 years of research and development, space test and operations, and flight-test experience.
Dr. Vogel holds a Doctor of Philosophy and Master of Science, both in astronautical engineering, from the Air Force Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in astronautical engineering from the United States Air Force Academy.
