Col. Matt Price, U.S. Air Force,  is U.S. Special Operations Command’s (USSOCOM) liaison to DARPA. As the Command’s primary representative to DARPA, he is responsible for representing the interests of all special operations forces, building strong relationships, understanding emerging technology needs, and increasing awareness of DARPA research that will advance relevant warfighting capabilities. 

Prior to his current position, he was a student at the National Defense University and before that commanded the 58th Operations Support Squadron, Kirtland AFB, New Mexico. His other assignments included tours in Okinawa, the United Kingdom, the Pentagon, and Hurlburt Field, Florida. 

Over course of his career, he has served as a Director of Operations, Chief of Safety, Wing Chief of Staff, Joint Staff J-5 Western Europe Deputy Division Chief, Air Fellow at Georgetown’s McCourt School of Public Policy, Standard/Evaluation Pilot, and graduate pilot training instructor.
