Mr. Frank Pound joined DARPA as a program manager in January 2014. He is principally interested in cyber operations and providing a useful interface to the “living Internet of things” such that it can be more easily measured and understood.
Mr. Pound joined DARPA from Raytheon SI Government Solutions National Capital Region Division, which he led in pursuing new business and new markets in cutting-edge cybersecurity technologies. Mr. Pound has also led several elite teams of researchers pioneering computer security software, tactics and techniques. Previously, Mr. Pound worked at Invicta Networks, where he helped develop a first-of-its-kind, revolutionary security appliance.
Mr. Pound served on Active Duty with the U.S. Marine Corps from 1989-1994 and as a Reservist from 1995-2004 with a tour in Baghdad, Iraq in 2003.
Mr. Pound holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Florida Atlantic University.
