Synopsis:
DARPA is soliciting innovative multidisciplinary
research proposals to develop and demonstrate
the capability to develop and fabricate
structural materials with radically
superior properties than can currently
be achieved through architectural control
at the appropriate microstructural
scales. The Materials with Controlled
Microstructural Architecture (MCMA)
program seeks the development and demonstration
of technologies that will result in
structural materials design and fabrication
methodologies that are ultimately based
on validated architectural design principles
at the microstructural level to achieve
their superior properties.
